Almost a month has passed since Ayaneo's CEO hinted that the Pocket S2 would launch in May. As it stands, it still remains unclear whether Ayaneo will begin selling the device before June rolls around. Unfortunately, Ayaneo's latest teaser suggests its latest high-end Android gaming handheld is not quite ready to go just yet.
Instead, it seems that the company is only prepared to reveal more details about its Pocket S (curr. $589.99 on Amazon) successor before the end of the month. As the image below shows, Ayaneo has now confirmed that it will host a 'product live sharing session' from 12:00 on May 28. Specifically, the company will outline 'key features' of its new gaming handheld while also providing live gameplay demos.
Nonetheless, Ayaneo typically only offers product-sharing sessions when it is close to releasing a device. Currently, the Pocket S2 is expected to launch with a 6.3-inch and 1440p display and Qualcomm's new Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chipset. On top of that, Ayaneo has previously teased that the Pocket S2 features an improved design, cooling and a larger battery than last year's model, too. Incidentally, the company has just released the Pocket Ace as a smaller Android option and is preparing to launch the Flip 1S DS with AMD's latest Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU and at least one OLED display.
