The pace with which Anbernic reveals new devices is speeding up. After a slow start to the year, Anbernic has now released the RG34XX SP and RG557 (curr. $339.99 on Amazon) within a month of each other. Then just two days ago, the company presented the RG35XX Pro as the latest entry in the long-standing RG35XX series.
While the RG35XX Pro is not available to purchase yet, Anbernic has now teased another device whose existence has been rumoured a few times this month. As the video below shows, Anbernic has now confirmed that is working on a throwback to the PSP Go called the 'RG Slide'. That which has been revealed so far aligns with previous rumours, which also showed a secondary display like the Nintendo 3DS.
Overall, it looks like the RG Slide builds on the form factor that Anbernic introduced last year with the RG Cube. However, it the RG Slide has a more rounded body, as well as in-line triggers and a larger fan vent than the RG Cube. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown for now, including which chipset Anebrnic has opted for. The company does not tend to wait around though, so expect to see more of the RG Slide next month.
