The Sharge Pixel 100 and Pixel 140 chargers are now available globally. However, the first batch of the accessories is designed for US plug sockets. This product was also recently launched in China, where it is known as the Dot Matrix Screen Charger.
Sharge’s new Pixel chargers are said to have a Bauhaus-inspired design. On one side is a rotatable dot-matrix display which can show real-time charging information. It is also dimmable, and there is a screen on/off animation.
The Pixel 140 charging plug has three USB-C ports with “extra-wide” spacing, each offering an up to 140W output. When two ports are used simultaneously, the power is distributed 100W:30W or 67W:67W. With all three outputs in use, power distribution could look like 67W:30W:30W or 45W:45W:30W. The Pixel 100 has three 100W USB-C ports and an 18W USB-A port. Again, power distribution is dependent on the connected devices.
Both support PD 3.1, QC 4.0, PPS and other fast-charging protocols. These are compact accessories with folding pins; the larger 140W version measures 64 x 58 x 37.2 mm (2.5 x 2.3 x 1.5 inches) and weighs 255 g (~0.56 lbs). According to Sharge, this is thanks in part to fifth-generation GaN technology.
You can now buy the Sharge Pixel chargers in the US with a 10% discount. The Pixel 100 is available for $64.90 (RRP $75.90), while the Pixel 140 costs $84.90 ($99.90). These products can also be purchased in Europe for £48.03/€57.25 (RRP £56.17/€66.95) and £62.83/€74.89 (£73.93/€88.12), respectively. The note on the product page, “First batch: only US version”, suggests that variants tailored to other markets like Europe could launch at a later date.
