Lenovo launches slim Legion 245 W charger with built-in cable and display

Lenovo has launched a new charging brick in China, the C245. It is basically an upgraded version of the Legion C170 that the company has in its portfolio. The brick features a slim form factor, with the company claiming it to be 30% more compact than regular laptop chargers with the same power output rating.

On that note, the new Lenovo Legion GaN charger has support for up to 245 W fast charging. However, given that it comes with a built-in cable with the proprietary Slim connector, it's safe to say that the charging brick is only for Lenovo laptops, which is something that differentiates it from the previous C-series charging bricks.

Speaking of the Slim connector, it has a built-in display, and this screen can show the exact power output from the GaN charger. Lenovo highlights that the max power rating of the charger is enough to allow supported laptops to run in performance mode.

The company further notes that the new Legion C245 charger has the Legion GaN 5.0 tech, which ensures stable charging. As for the built-in cable, it's said to be made of high-quality core with built-in shielding for safe charging. There's an integrated cable management strap, which makes the charging accessory more travel-friendly.

Price-wise, the launch price of the Lenovo Legion C245 charger is CNY 359, which is around $50. There's no word on when it may launch in the global market, but it's worth noting that the previous C-series chargers became available on AliExpress soon after the Chinese release.
