The Anker Nano SafeCharge Ultra Charger has been launched in China. This new accessory is marketed as portable and allows you to charge three devices simultaneously. It is designed primarily for Apple devices, though it is compatible with products from a range of manufacturers.
Anker’s SafeCharge Ultra charging plug has two USB-C ports with a maximum output of 70W. According to the product listing, this would allow it to charge a MacBook Air 13 2025 to 50% in 36 minutes. A third device can be charged via a USB-A port with an up to 33W output. When two devices are charged simultaneously, the maximum USB-C output is 60W; for example, you could charge a laptop at 60W and headphones at 5W. It is unclear how the power is split when all three ports are in use.
The Nano SafeCharge Ultra Charger supports fast charging protocols, including PD, PPS and QC. Plus, Anker indicates that it is the first accessory to feature its patented ultra-core architecture with a GaN chip. This is said to deliver fast charging without damaging a device’s battery and ensure low temperatures are maintained. The charger has folding pins and is relatively compact, measuring 53 x 31.5 x 42.6 mm (~2.1 x 1.2 x 1.7 inches) and weighing 120 g (~4.2 oz).
The Anker Nano SafeCharge Ultra Charger retails for CNY 169 (~$23) in China. It arrives alongside a 140W version of Anker Zolo USB-C to USB-C Cable, with the same dirt-resistant coating. The more powerful Anker Zolo USB-C to USB-C Cable (6 ft, 240W, Braided) is currently available at Amazon US for $9.99. Whether or when the Anker Nano SafeCharge Ultra Charger or 140W Zolo USB-C to USB-C Cable could launch in the US is unclear.
