Anker has been working on a new smart display with the product name E10 and the model number T87AO for quite some time. A corresponding manual can already be found online, but now a brochure has emerged as well. Although there are no official details on the price or release date, a recent FCC certification strongly suggests an imminent launch.
Anker’s new smart display can also be used independently of the base station, because it features a built-in 5,000mAh battery. For instance, this might be useful when checking a video baby monitor from the couch. According to the aforementioned brochure, the Eufy E10 has a battery life of up to 24 hours and it can also be wall-mounted.
The smart display can also stream video from Anker’s security cameras or show the live feed from a smart doorbell. The Eufy E10 also has a microphone and can be used to communicate with people at the door. Multiple video streams can be displayed at the same time, which allows smart home enthusiasts to keep track of everything.
The smart display connects via WiFi at 2.4 and 5GHz and comes with 8GB of internal eMMC mass storage. The 8-inch display has an HD resolution and Anker claims that smart features such as facial recognition are available as well. Since videos are stored locally, the Eufy E10 can also be used during an internet outage. That said, it remains unclear which exact cameras are supported by the upcoming smart display.
