New Xiaomi Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine Pro arrives

Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine Pro Double Wash and Dry 10kg in China. This smart home device is designed to wash loads weighing up to 10 kg (~22.0 lbs) and dry loads up to 7 kg (~15.4 lbs).

The Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine Pro has two separate drums; the larger drum is designed for everyday washes, while the smaller top drum is suited to underwear, fitting one to three pairs. The drums have independent shock absorption and intelligent detergent dispensing from separate drawers. They both offer a short 12-minute washing cycle, reaching temperatures up to 95°C (~203°F), said to remove 99.99% of viruses and bacteria and 99% of allergens.

According to Xiaomi, the machine can dry up to 10% faster than older models, with a low temperature 46°C (~115°F) drying option for the main drum. If you do not empty the clothes within 30 minutes of the end of the cycle, an air vent opens, meaning the washing remains fresh for up to 24 hours. There is an integrated color touchscreen where you can control the various settings. Plus, thanks to HyperOS Connect, you can use Xiao AI voice commands, link the washing machine to other smart home devices and push OTA updates from the accompanying app. It measures 598 x 850 x 600 mm (~23.5 x 33.5 x 23.6 inches) with a metal texture panel and mirror finish on the drum door.

The Xiaomi Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine Pro Double Wash and Dry 10kg is now available in China for CNY 5,999 (~$830). It is unlikely that the company will bring this product to Europe, where it has yet to officially launch its range of white goods.
