New slim Hisense Wallpaper TV with 165 Hz refresh rate arrives

The Hisense Vidda Wallpaper TV has been launched in China. This is a particularly slim model at 29.9 mm (~1.2 inches) thick and is designed to sit flush to the wall. Plus, users can choose from a range of artworks to be displayed when the TV is in standby mode.

Hisense’s Vidaa Wallpaper TV is available in 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch and 100-inch sizes. It is a QD-Mini LED TV with a 4K resolution and a native 165 Hz refresh rate, though it can simulate an up to 300 Hz refresh rate. According to the company, the screen has a particularly low reflection rate, and the display covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color space. Plus, there is Filmmaker Mode and support for Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and HLG. 

The 100-inch variant is a QD-Mini LED model with upgrades like 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and an up to 330 Hz refresh rate. Plus, it is said to offer up to 4,400 nits peak brightness and support for IMAX Enhanced.

For gaming, all sizes offer tools like VRR, ALLM, Dolby Vision Gaming and AMD FreeSync Premium to enhance the experience. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, and you can wirelessly cast from an Android or iOS device. Ports on the device include HDMI 2.1 (4K@165 Hz), USB 3.0, and an audio jack, and there are also integrated 90W speakers with support for Dolby Atmos.

In China, the 65-inch Hisense Vidda Wallpaper TV retails for CNY 5,499 (~$761), while the larger 100-inch model is priced at CNY 14,999 (~$2,076). It is unclear whether the company is planning to bring a version of this TV to other markets like North America. Here, it has recently released the U8QG Mini LED TV (55-inch curr. $999.99 at Amazon).
