Ugreen's Nexode 500W GaN desktop charger is now available in the US for $249.99

Following a launch in Europe, Ugreen has begun selling the Nexode 500W GaN Fast Charging Station in the United States. The 6-port desktop charger is available to buy from Amazon, but unlike in Europe where there's a launch discount, that isn't the case stateside.

The Ugreen Nexode 500W GaN Fast Charging Station can be purchased on Amazon for $249.99. Boasting a total output of 500W, the desktop charger can simultaneously charge 6 devices. Despite its high power output, it doesn't take up much space as the charger is designed to sit upright unlike Anker's new Nano Charger which also has six ports but lays flat and has a max output of 130W. Ugreen has also added anti-slip feet to prevent it from sliding off your desk.

The six ports on Ugreen's charger include 5 USB-C ports and a single USB-A port. The top USB-C port has a max output of 240W, allowing it to charge not only laptops but also provide power for workstations and charge e-bikes. The other four USB-C ports each have a max power output of 100W while the USB-A port has a max output of 20W. Nevertheless, the actual power output will depend on the voltage and current of a connected device.

Ugreen says the Nexode 500W GaN charger has 6 advanced GaNInfinity chips which helps it achieve its compact design as well as charging efficiency and heat dissipation. There are also 11 types of protection including over voltage, lightning, short circuit, over-current, high-temperature, and anti-surge protections. The charger itself has a fire-resistant enclosure.
