Ugreen has launched yet another new product under the rather long name "UGREEN 8K@60Hz Displayport KVM Switch 2 Monitors 2 Computers" on Amazon, which might be useful for certain desktop setups.
More specifically, this KVM switch can be used to connect two computers with two shared monitors and peripherals. For example, this makes it possible to use the monitors with a Windows PC or laptop and an Apple device without unplugging any cables. In addition to Windows and macOS, the switch is compatible with Linux.
The new Ugreen KVM switch further supports a high resolution of up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 240Hz, as well as HDR10+ via the two integrated DisplayPorts. Additionally, it features a total of four USB 3.0 ports, three Type-A and one Type-C, with a bandwidth of 5Gbit/s. The former is suitable for connecting a mouse, keyboard, storage or other USB devices.
In order to take full advantage of the capabilities of Ugreen’s new KVM switch, users will need a compatible computer with two DisplayPorts, one USB-A port as well as an integrated or dedicated graphics card and cables that support 8K at 60Hz.
In order to celebrate this new product launch, Ugreen is offering the new dual-monitor KVM switch at a reasonable discount on Amazon. Instead of the regular list price of $89, early adopters can order the new accessory for $81 including free shipping thanks to a coupon code that has to be activated manually. This launch offer will expire on July 11.
