Anbernic has had a rather busy month, even by its standards. Less than a fortnight ago, the company released the RG34XX SP as a smaller alternative to the existing RG35XX SP (curr. $78.99 on Amazon). A few days later, it unveiled the RG35XX Pro before pivoting to the RG Slide in an earlier teaser.
Now, Anbernic has confirmed all key RG35XX Pro specifications ahead of its inevitable release within the next week or two. As expected, the RG35XX Pro is effectively the return of the RG35XX Plus with a few tweaks. For instance, Anbernic has ported across the Allwinner H700 chipset and 3.5-inch IPS display that outputs at 640 x 480 pixels. Unfortunately, the company has maintained 1 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, which puts the RG35XX Pro at a disadvantage compared with the RG34XX SP.
Likewise, battery capacity has dropped by 100 mAh to 3,200 mAh between the RG35XX Plus and RG35XX Pro. However, Anbernic distinguishes the RG35XX Pro from the RG35XX Plus by bringing in a set of joysticks. For some reason, the company has not revealed the device's dimensions yet, though. Presumably, the RG35XX Pro will be about the same size as the BatleXP G350, which comes in at 128 x 81 x 22 mm. Please see Anbernic's video below for more information.
