As for the latest giveaway, the value isn't up there when compared to the last one, but the game is well-received by gamers.
To be specific, the first Epic Games Store's free game for the holiday season is The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. It's worth $24.99, and the title has a "Very Positive" rating on Steam with over 4,000 player reviews. As for the game itself, it's a survival title that puts players in the Fourth Age of Middle-earth.
The game is a unique entry to the Lord of the Rings franchise, and it's set shortly after Sauron's defeat. Its storyline involves players exploring and reclaiming the depths of Moria, also known as Khazad-dûm. While this currently free Epic Games Store game combines typical elements of survival crafting games, it has some unique features that are well-suited for its post-apocalyptic setting.
For instance, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria requires players to manage the needs of their Dwarves. That includes maintaining the right amount of sleep, hunger, temperature, and even noise levels.
