Fans of historically accurate and realistic World War II games should not miss this first-person shooter, free to play on Steam for a limited time.

Squad 44 is a gripping multiplayer first-person shooter that vividly portrays the harsh realities of World War II. Created by Offworld Industries, the developers behind the popular shooter Squad, it delivers a deeply immersive war experience. With a minimalist HUD, intensive combat, realistic vehicle mechanics and authentic weapons, the game puts realism front and center.

Players can step into the ranks of the British 1st Airborne Division, US 4th Infantry Division, French Army, Wehrmacht, Fallschirmjägers or Waffen-SS and take part in iconic battles like the Normandy landings and the liberation of the Netherlands. With 120 meticulously crafted vehicles and 150 historically accurate weapons, the game offers an authentic and detailed experience.

Clear role allocation

Squad 44 stands out with its distinct role system, allowing players to join the action as infantry, tank crews or logisticians. Infantry handle most of the frontline combat, tank crews provide critical support with heavy vehicles and logisticians ensure supply routes remain open to deliver vital ammunition and resources. Success depends on strategic thinking and close teamwork with your squad.

No story mode

The game is a dedicated multiplayer experience with no traditional story mode. Its game modes include attack and defense missions where teams fight to capture or hold strategic points. Players can also engage in massive battles featuring multiple objectives and teams of up to 40 players per side.
