Steam Winter Sale 2024 start and end dates revealed through leaked promo materials
While GOG and Epic Games already have their year-end game sale, Valve is yet quiet about it. However, the official-looking promotional artwork and video that's seemingly associated with the Steam Winter Sale 2024 has just surfaced. According to them, it will start on December 19.
This date aligns with what SteamDB, a third-party Steam database, is showing. The database has the said date in the "Upcoming events" section, and it reveals the possible starting time: 18:00 UTC. Of course, the official time may see a change, but that's unlikely to happen as SteamDB's scraped data tends to be accurate.
As for the end date, the alleged promotional poster suggests that the Steam Winter Sale 2024 will end on January 2 at 18:00 UTC. This means the game deals will remain active for two weeks, which is a bit shorter than the Holiday Sale 2024 that's taking place on the Epic Games Store.
Even the GOG Winter Sale is comparatively longer, starting on December 12 and ending on January 3 at 08:00 UTC. Getting back to Steam's upcoming event, the leaked promotional video suggests that a good number of popular games will see a decent discount.
