Nvidia officially teases CES 2025 launch of RTX 50 series
It's no secret that Nvidia is preparing for the RTX 50 series launch at CES 2025. As we covered earlier, the company had already confirmed a keynote for the event in October, and if that wasn't enough, the company has now officially teased the launch of the new lineup at the coming event.
This comes shortly after one of the Nvidia RTX 50-series GPUs made its cameo in the latest Witcher 4 announcement trailer. For those who missed it, as CD Projekt Red confirmed, the new cinematic trailer for the game was pre-rendered in Unreal Engine 5 with an "unannounced" Nvidia GPU.
With the latest teaser announcement, Nvidia has officially started to promote the upcoming CES 2025 keynote. The company has even started a new campaign to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its very first GPU, the GeForce 256. With #GeForceGreats, the company wants to take gamers on a "nostalgic journey" before looking into the future.
Nvidia has also announced a "Global Gaming Festival" with GeForce LAN 50, which is set to happen on January 4 at 4:30 PM PT and last for 50 hours. That means it will end right when the CES 2025 keynote starts, which is set for January 6 at 6:30 PM PT.
The company is also encouraging gamers to engage with its GeForce Greats promotion. More engagement will lead to a high "GeForce Hype Meter," which will eventually lead to a better prize pool. All these make it pretty clear that the RTX 50 series is around the corner.
