Terminator survival game: trailer reveals Early Access launch

James Cameron's 'The Terminator' (1984) and 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day' (1991) are considered by many to be the best action films of all time. Of course, there are also a number of games based on the franchise - albeit exclusively shooters and strategy games. Fans were delighted when publisher Nacon announced in the summer of 2022 that its Italian branch in Milan was working on an open-world survival game in the Terminator universe. Now things are finally getting concrete: the title was officially unveiled at the latest Nacon Direct presentation. The game is called "Terminator: Survivors" and will be available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Battles against humans and machines

Nacon promises a complex storyline. The story of Terminator: Survivors is set in 2009 - after the devastating attack by Skynet, but before the founding of the resistance under the leadership of John Connor. Players explore the world either on foot or in vehicles in search of the resources needed to survive and build a base.

The biggest threat are the machines that roam the game world and threaten the survivors. However, other survivors in search of scarce resources can also be dangerous in the online mode. Players decide for themselves whether they want to fight against other survivors or join forces with them. Those who want to devote themselves entirely to the fight against the machines can also play the survival game in solo mode.

Eary Access launches on PC in October

The official Early Access release date trailer was published on February 29, according to which the Early Access phase is scheduled to start on October 24, 2024. Unfortunately, no gameplay can be seen. It is not yet known when the full versions for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will be released. On Steam players can already add the survival game to their wish list.
