The Epic Games Store is giving away a critically acclaimed (or controversial, depending on who you ask) game on its platform. Until December 18, you can redeem Hogwarts Legacy and keep it forever. It is one of the first AAA games to be distributed on the platform in recent times, and it is definitely worth a play for Harry Potter fans.
While Hogwarts Legacy doesn’t actually involve Harry Potter or his minions, it is set in the same universe as the franchise. The game is set in Hogwarts, many years before Harry and Voldemort were born, and revolves around the protagonist who is entangled in a brewing conflict. The gameplay involves a lot of spell-slinging, riding around on your broom, and solving puzzles.
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world game, allowing players to fully explore Hogwarts and its various locations. Iconic places like Hogsmaede are also accessible. The map is scattered with numerous locations to explore, with some regions gated behind campaign progress. Those looking to play Quidditch will be disappointed because it is barred in-game for a rather ludicrous canonical reason.
