8BitDo has expanded the availability of its latest limited edition controller after initially launching it last week in the US. As we discussed at the time, the HSRx8BitDo collaboration is the latest refresh of the latter's Ultimate 2 wireless controller rather than an entirely new piece of hardware.
Nonetheless, the Ultimate 2 Honkai: Star Rail Evernight edition comes with a few elements that one cannot buy when purchasing a regular Ultimate 2. The same is true with the recent Wuchang: Fallen Feathers edition, which 8BitDo still sells globally despite suggesting that this is a limited edition variant too (curr. $64.99 on Amazon).
As 8BitDo's teaser images highlight, the Honkai: Star Rail Evernight edition features a light purple livery with flower silhouettes to distinguish it from other Ultimate 2 controllers. Moreover, 8BitDo includes a travel case with Honkai: Star Rail Evernight orders in a matching colourway. On top of that, the new controller ships with four themed joystick caps, a glitter coaster and a set of temporary tattoo stickers.
Currently, the Honkai: Star Rail - Evernight version of the Ultimate 2 can only be ordered on Amazon UK, where it retails for £59.99. While that sees the Evernight edition price matching the Ultimate 2 for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, 8BitDo's Windows and Android version, upon which the Evernight edition is based, retails for £10 less. At the time of writing, 8BitDo hopes to begin shipping its new Honkai: Star Rail edition on November 28 in the UK, a month later than in the US.
