The controller has been available since August 14 for $89.99, and while other 8BitDo controllers have received discounts, including the 8BitDo Pro 3, the 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode Wireless Controller for Xbox has not fallen below $89 until now.
The 8BitDo Ultimate 3-Mode Wireless Controller for Xbox Rare 40th Anniversary Edition is available for purchase on AliExpress for $72.43, which is $17.56 or ~20% off its launch price. The controller is sold by a store with a 4.9 store rating and the product is eligible for return and refunds within the order protection period. However, we noticed that the discount isn't available in all regions.
The 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode Wireless Controller for Xbox Rare 40th Anniversary Edition is based on the 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode Controller (curr. available on Amazon for $49.99). However, unlike the 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode Controller, which connects to Xbox consoles via a wired connection, this connects wirelessly to the Xbox Series S|X and Xbox One via a 2.4GHz wireless dongle. It can also be used as a wired controller if you wish.
The 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode Wireless Controller for Xbox comes with a charging dock with a compartment for storing the dongle. It features Hall Effect Joysticks, two pro back paddle buttons, a golden metal tactile D-pad, and even has an audio jack.
In addition to being compatible with Xbox consoles, it also works with Windows PCs via wireless or wired connection and connects via Bluetooth to Android and Apple devices.
