The 8BitDo Ultimate 3-Mode Controller for Xbox gets a Jade colorway

8BitDo offers several Xbox-licensed products such as controllers, arcade sticks, media remotes, and even a keyboard and mouse. Among its Xbox-licensed controllers is the 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode Controller for Xbox. Originally available in Black and White, 8BitDo has now announced a third color option called Jade.

The 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode Controller for Xbox in Jade has a green translucent color reminiscent of the transparent green Xbox console of old. This isn't the first time 8BitDo has launched a product in this color as the 8BitDo Retro Keyboard and Mouse are available in the same color.

The new color option is available to pre-order on Amazon for $69.99 ahead of its release on May 15, 2025. However, if you are an Amazon Prime member, the white and black variants are available to buy at a discounted price of $46.89.

The 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode Controller for Xbox may be designed for Xbox, but it is actually compatible with multiple platforms. It connects to Xbox consoles via a wired USB cable, works with Windows PCs via a 2.4GHz wireless dongle, and connects to Android and Apple devices via Bluetooth.

The controller has Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, 2 back paddle buttons, an audio jack, and a microphone mute button. There's a 500mAh battery inside the controller that should provide up to 20 hours of play on a single charge.
