The Gamesir G8 Galileo typically costs less than the Backbone One mobile phone controller despite the former having better features. Now Amazon is offering a discount on the Gamesir controller that even widens the price gap, making it worth grabbing.

The Backbone One mobile phone controller just got an Xbox version. Priced at $110, it isn't cheap and neither is the standard and PlayStation versions which costs $10 less. Thankfully, there are more affordable options available, one of which is the Gamesir G8 Galileo, and now that it is even on sale, it is a no-brainer.

The GameSir G8 Galileo offers similar features to the Backbone One such as USB-C connectivity, compatibility with both iPhones and Android, an audio jack, and support for passthrough charging. It also has some features that put it above the Backbone One such as Hall Effect joysticks and Hall Effect triggers, and programmable  back buttons.

Gamesir's telescopic controller is also customizable, allowing users to not only change the faceplates but also the joystick caps (three caps are included in the box). It is also compatible with select phone cases and has a companion app. Like several mobile controllers, it works with Xbox Game Pass, Steam Link, PS Remote Play, and Moonlight.

The Gamesir G8 Galileo originally sells for $79.99, but Amazon is offering a 23% discount that brings the price down to $61.99. That's nearly $40 cheaper than the Blackbone One and $50 cheaper than the Blackbone One Xbox Edition, while offering better features. If you are on the search for a mobile phone controller, this is one deal you don't want to pass on.
