The GameSir X5 Lite is now open for preorder directly from the manufacturer, with shipping expected to begin on 23 April. The controller is priced at around $35 and may take four to six business days to arrive. Those who are interested should review the shipment conditions and any potential import taxes and duties before making a purchase. The X5 Lite is a telescopic controller designed to accommodate phones up to 213 mm (8.39 in) in length. It connects to a smartphone via a swivelable USB-C connector, making it incompatible with older iPhones. Various silicone pads are included to ensure a secure fit, even for phones with larger camera bumps. Weighing just 135.4 g (4.8 oz), the X5 Lite is lighter than most smartphones.

For more complex games, the controller features two Hall effect analogue sticks, essentially eliminating the risk of stick drift. Besides the joysticks, the X5 Lite also has membrane hair triggers, a D-pad, four action buttons, and system and menu buttons. Predefined key combinations can also be used to perform certains actions, such as enabling the built-in turbo mode or taking screenshots. The GameSir app provides additional customisation options.
