It has been exactly a month since the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 wireless controller was announced. Now thanks to Amazon's ongoing Prime Spring sale, the controller has received its very first discount, albeit with a caveat.
With a launch price of $59.99, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 isn't exactly a cheap controller, although it packs some pretty nice features such as TMR joysticks, the ability to switch between Hall Effect and non-linear tactile triggers, and a 1000Hz polling rate when used in 2.4GHz and wired modes.
For the period of its Prime Spring Sale, Amazon is offering a 20% discount on the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 controller, bringing the price down to $47.99. Unfortunately, to avail this deal, buyers have to be an Amazon Prime member.
For those who have a Prime subscription, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 wireless controller is a no-brainer at this new low price. In addition to the features mentioned above, the controller also has two back paddle buttons, programmable extra bumper buttons, 6-axis motion control, and RGB ring lights.
The controller is compatible with both Android (Bluetooth only) and Windows (2.4GHz and wired), and comes with a dongle to use the 2.4GHz mode. The 8BitDo Ultimate 2 wireless controller has a 1,000mAh battery and can be charged either via the USB-C port or the included charging dock.
