Viture has shed new light on its next venture with 8BitDo. To recap, the pair teased that they had created a 'one-of-a-kind' mobile gaming accessory. While neither revealed what they had planned, they claimed that the accessory would officially debut in March.
With precious little left of the month to go, there is no sight of the 'jaw-dropping' device. Instead, Viture has now announced that 'full details' will be presented soon. In the same tweet, the company outlines that it will recruit beta testers simultaneously. Consequently, it seems unlikely that 8BitDo's and Viture's latest collaboration will be available anytime soon.
Nonetheless, Viture has effectively revealed that the device in question is a version of the Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller that 8BitDo released in October (curr. $49.99 on Amazon). Based on the short video embedded below, Viture's version has a part translucent finish with orange accents like the Viture X 8BitDo Ultimate C. Presumably, the customised variant will retain the same underlying hardware as 8BitDo's original though, including its Hall effect joysticks, 350 mAh battery and support for smartphones that are up to 170 mm in height.
A long-overdue release is finally on the horizon! Full details and beta tester recruitment launching soon! ????
