There has been no let-up in the volume of products that 8BitDo has been releasing lately. Now, the company has returned to collaborating with Viture, which is best known for smart glasses like the Viture Pro XR (curr. $399 on Amazon). For reference, the partnership has already yielded the Viture X 8BitDo Ultimate C as a translucent version of the Ultimate C with an Xbox layout.
The next 8BitDo and Viture product will retain design cues from last year's collaboration too, such as orange joystick accents. Viture also mentions that the unnamed device will be a 'mobile gaming accessory', which would rule out recent 8BitDo releases like the Ultimate 2C.
As far as we can tell, the device pictured is a customised Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller. Available since the end of October, the $49.99 smartphone accessory boasts Hall effect joysticks and up to 14 hours of playtime from its 350 mAh battery. The telescopic controller also supports up to 170 mm tall smartphones, which surpasses even the mammoth Nubia Z70 Ultra that we reviewed a few weeks ago. 8BitDo and Viture's next product will officially debut in March.
