New Rogue-Lite RPG with city-building features impresses on Steam

Heroes of Hammerwatch 2 (HoH2),the latest creation from Crackshell, launched on Steam on January 14. At the heart of the game lies the city of Sild, which serves as both the starting point of the adventure and the player’s base of operations. As the game progresses, Sild can be upgraded, offering a unique construction mechanic that enhances gameplay by adding motivation and allowing players to customize each run.

Players venture into the world of Hammerwatch, exploring its varied dungeons, defeating challenging bosses and ultimately facing the trials of the Dark Citadel. This final destination delivers the toughest battles but also the most rewarding treasures. The game offers a charming pixel art style and can be enjoyed solo or in co-op mode with up to four players.

At the beginning of Heroes of Hammerwatch 2, players select one of four starting classes: Paladin, Ranger, Wizard or Warlock. Two additional classes, Rogue and Sorcerer, can be unlocked by completing specific challenges. With procedurally generated levels, no dungeon run is ever the same and the variety of classes adds to the game's high replayability.
