By now, abxylute is probably no longer a completely unknown figure in a gaming peripheral market with plenty of options. The company has released the new abxylute C8 – a controller that promises to combine modern features with a striking design. The product is available directly from the manufacturer’s website.
The abxylute C8 features a translucent body that allows users to see some of its inner workings, such as components of the rumble motors. The RGB lighting also contributes to the controller’s overall look, supporting eight colours and three light modes. The device also boasts modern technologies: Both analogue sticks use Hall effect sensors rather than potentiometers, ensuring there won’t be any stick drift down the road. The shoulder triggers likewise employ the same technology and have adjustable travel, which, for example, is useful for letting gamers shorten the travel to fire more rapidly in shooters.
Apart from a directional pad, action buttons, and auxiliary buttons for accessing things like menus, the controller is outfitted with two additional programmable keys on the bottom – a rather unusual spot for such buttons, which are typically located on the shoulders or the back. According to abxylute, the built-in 6,000 mAh battery should provide 10 hours of use with the RGB lighting disabled. The previously mentioned gyroscope is compatible with not just PC but also the Nintendo Switch and devices running Android or iOS. The abxylute C8 comes with a docking station and supports 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and wired connections.
