Abxylute has officially announced a new gaming handheld called the One Pro. The device is in a fairly unique market position as it’s a mix between a rather affordable systems that can emulate older retro games and a full-fledged handheld like the Asus ROG Ally X, which can also render modern titles locally.
According to the manufacturer, the abxylute One Pro can’t just emulate said retro titles, but also play Android games since it runs on Google’s operating system. It comes with a special overlay and Remote Play for streaming games from a console or cloud service. For instance, GeForce Now is supported at up to 1080p.
Compared to the regular abxylute One, the Pro is equipped with a significantly more powerful chipset. It supposedly hits an AnTuTu benchmark score of nearly 370,000, which would be almost three times higher than that of the abxylute One. In the 3D Mark Wild Life benchmark, the abxylute One Pro apparently beats the Logitech G Cloud quite easily with a score of 1,164.
In comparison to the aforementioned abxylute One, users can also look forward to better joysticks and several new features, including a new launcher, video output to an external display and improved audio. However, the screen diagonal remains unchanged at 7 inches.
Abxylute has not yet shared any pricing details, but the gaming handheld is expected to start its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter this month.
