Abxylute will start its One Pro gaming handheld campaign on Kickstarter on March 27, 2025 at 8:00 am PST, according to preliminary posts on its Discord server. The campaign for the improved Android handheld will run through April 30. The One Pro has an MSRP of $249, and a special early bird price of $199 will be available in limited quantities. All owners of the original Abyxlute One handheld will have unlimited access to this special price. Units are expected to ship in May.
The One Pro is designed to handle local Android games, game emulators, such as AtherSX2, Dolphin, Drastic, and PPSSPP, streaming game services such as GeForce Now, and remote play better than the company's prior model. An unlisted YouTube video shows the handheld maintaining smooth 60 fps game play in God of War on the PPSSPP and Paper Mario on the Dolphin emulators.
Based on preliminary specifications, the One Pro will run Android 13 on a MT8370 CPU with 4 GB LPDD4 RAM, and 64 GB ROM. The 7.0-inch 16:9 touchscreen has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Wireless connections are handled by the 802.11ac 2T2R MU-MIMO Wi-Fi module. The handheld comes with dual speakers, dual microphones, gyroscope, headphone jack, and video output support.
The analog sticks are full-sized, capacitive digital joysticks, which supposedly provide higher precision without the electromagnetic interference of Hall controllers.
The handheld weighs 430 g (15.2 oz.) and measures 250 x 115 x 30 mm (9.8 x 4.5 x 1.2 in.). Its 5,200 mAh battery is expected to power the handheld for up to eight hours.
