Little over a fortnight has passed since details of a mystery Anbernic RG40XX V lookalike appeared online. Based on the evidence available at the time it seemed that Game Console, effectively a gaming handheld white label, was behind the unnamed device.
Early reviews and product listings of said device now confirm that to be the case, while also revealing its name as the 'MyMini'. For context, the device is also listed under the R36 series, which Game Console already uses or a slew of budget gaming handhelds like the R36 Max and R36S Plus or the newer RX6H.
Arguably, the most unusual part of the MyMini is its button layout. As Retro Handhelds notes, Game Console has returned to Rockchip's RK3326 chipset, which it complements with 1 GB of RAM, a 4,000 mAh battery and a 3.5-inch IPS display that outputs at 640 x 480 pixels. Also onboard is 8 GB of expandable storage pre-loaded with EmuELEC 4.7, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity for local multiplayer and game transfer purposes.
Theoretically, the MyMini's button layout lends itself to use with Nintendo 64 emulation. The combination of an RK3326 and 1 GB of RAM could be a limiting factor in this regard, though. Currently, the Game Console MyMini can be picked up on AliExpress for a little over $40 or on Amazon for $57.99.
