OneXPlayer OneXSugar: Full reveal of unusual Nintendo DS style gaming handheld teased for later this month
One-Netbook is having a rather busy few months compared to its peers. While the typically busy Anbernic has not released anything new in months, One-Netbook has introduced several OneXPlayer-branded devices lately.
For example, the company got the OneXFly F1 Pro (curr. $1,149.99 on Amazon) out the door before Ayaneo managed to respond with the similar Ayaneo 3. Following that, One-Netbook released the OneXPlayer X1 Pro and the OneXPlayer G1 with completely different form factors.
In the midst of those launches, One-Netbook teased a peculiar device called the OneXSugar. Designed in collaboration with Sugar Cubes, the OneXSugar was said to feature a 'transformable' form factor, an early version of which can be seen in the video above. In short, it seems that the OneXSugar supports either horizontal gaming handheld or Nintendo DS-style dual-screen postures, which is achieved by a series of hinges.
One-Netbook and Sugar Cubes have yet to showcase the device fully or discuss availability. Instead, the former has hinted that the OneXSugar will be unveiled during a 'Tasting Experience' in China next week. One-Netbook also plans to host an equivalent event in Los Angeles, ahead of which it is seeking input from fans with a chance to win a OneXSugar.
