The OneXPlayer G1 has been on sale for a week, having been teased just under a month earlier. Nonetheless, One-Netbook has decided to refresh its latest gaming handheld with two new configurations. As a result, the GPD Win Mini (curr. $1,079.95 on Amazon) rival can now be picked up in a choice of seven variants.
The new 8.8-inch gaming handheld still starts at $899 with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD at its disposal. Likewise, the OneXPlayer G1 tops out at a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, 64 GB RAM and 4 TB SSD. For reference, all SKUs ship with the following other hardware:
- 8.8-inch, 2.5K and 144 Hz IPS display
- 51.97 Wh (14,283 mAh) battery
- OcuLink and 2x USB4 ports
- Hall effect triggers and joysticks
- LPDDR5X-7500 RAM
However, One-Netbook has effectively dropped the point of entry for obtaining the device with a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and 64 GB of RAM, which previously ran to $1,539 before accounting for import taxes. Now, this combination can be picked up for $1,399 with 2 TB of storage; please note that all OneXPlayer G1 units feature an M.2 2280 slot should you wish to upgrade to a higher capacity SSD down the line.
Alternatively, the same memory configuration can be paired with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H for $80 less at $1,319. The Core Ultra 7 255H is something of an unknown quantity at this point. On paper, its Arc 140T iGPU could outperform the Radeon 890M inside the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. We would recommend waiting for independent reviews to arrive before passing judgement on Intel's mobile Arrow Lake-H architecture. One-Netbook hopes to begin shipping its new OneXPlayer G1 configurations in March.
