Retroid has now revealed when its next vertical gaming handheld will be available and for how much. While a few details about the Retroid Pocket Classic remain unknown for the time being, it has now confirmed launch pricing and offers too.

Retroid has finally revealed launch information for the Pocket Classic after subjecting its fans to weeks of teasers. To recap, the company published more specifications for its next vertical gaming handheld earlier this week, having disclosed key display specifications a few days prior.

Now, it has confirmed that the Pocket Classic will go on sale from 01:30 UTC on March 18. On top of that, Retroid has outlined that while the gaming handheld will eventually retail for $119, it will receive a $5 discount to $114 at launch. This pricing will only be available in Classic 6 and Retro colours though, which Retroid will furnish with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

Meanwhile, a more expensive 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage variant will be the only to purchase a Pocket Classic in its five other colour options. As the image below shows, this variant will cost at least $124, or $129, once Retroid's $5 launch discount expires. For reference, Classic 6 and Retro will come in 6 GB of RAM/128 GB of storage flavours, too.

Ultimately, the Pocket Classic will fill a gap in the market between low-end options, such as the Anbernic RG40XX V (curr. $79.99 on Amazon), and high-end vertical handhelds like the Ayaneo Pocket DMG. In summary, the Pocket Classic will be available with a 3.92-inch AMOLED display that resolves at 1,240 x 1,080 pixels and 500 nits in an effective 5:4 aspect ratio. Retroid has also included a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 27 W wired charging and what it describes as a 'Qualcomm 4 nm' chipset. For some reason, the company has still not provided any specifics about the chipset yet.
