A few months have passed since Miyoo finally released its alternative to the Anbernic RG35XX SP (curr. $79.99 on Amazon). Initially, the Miyoo Flip received positive reviews and proved difficult to get hold of.
However, various issues started rearing their heads, which prompted Miyoo to suggest that a Flip refresh was already in the works. According to Joey's Retro Handhelds, Miyoo had hoped to introduce the so-called Flip V2 last month. While that did not come to pass, the Miyoo Flip V2 is now available to order globally from either GoGameGeek or MechDIY.
Principally, the Flip V2 contains an improved hinge. MechDIY has suggested to us privately that the new model also adds Bluetooth connectivity, although we cannot find any evidence of this in its or GoGameGeek's product listings. Regardless, it is unclear whether the Flip V2 adopts a brighter display too, as was previously rumoured. Miyoo Flip V2 pre-orders should start shipping between March 20th and March 30th for $89.99 from MechDIY or $94.99 from GoGameGeek.
