Game Console has launched various budget gaming handhelds so far, many of which borrow heavily from established designs. For example, the company introduced the R46S last year in the wake of Anbernic RG CubeXX and Powkiddy RGB30 (curr. $95 on Amazon) releases.
Now, Game Console has offered up the RX6H, which can be picked up on AliExpress for roughly $34-$42 at the time of publication. For context, the likes of OGTechNick, Retro Gaming with Deadfred and Retro Handhelds were able to purchase RX6H units for nearer $25 only a few days ago. As a result, we suspect that prices will vary over the coming weeks.
In short, the RX6H appears to shares its internals with the Powkiddy RGB20S, to which there are even mentions in Game Console's manual. Consequently, the RX6H features a 3.5-inch IPS display with a 640 x 480-pixel output, 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and the evergreen Rockchip RK3326 chipset. However, it utilises a 3,000 mAh battery compared to the 3,500 mAh capacity inside the RGB20S.
The RX6H runs EmuELEC 4.7 out of the box too. With that being said, Retro Gaming with Deadfred adds that ArkOS is already available, which is one of many popular third-party firmwares for many retro gaming handhelds. It is worth keeping in mind that the RX6H only contains a single MicroSD card reader, though. Please see the AliExpress listings linked below for more details.
