MagicX kicked off the year by releasing the Mini Zero 28, which it still sells for under $60. Now, the company has detailed the Zero 40, just over two months after it revealed the device during the holiday period.
Initially, the company only demonstrated that the Zero 40 was capable of emulating dual-screen gaming handhelds like the Nintendo DS and Nintendo 2DS. Now, it has confirmed various hardware details, such as the inclusion of a 4-inch and 800 x 480-pixel IPS display. In other words, the MagicX Zero 40 should be capable of 1.8x image scaling when playing Nintendo DS games.
Additionally, MagicX has included an Allwinner A133P chipset used across the Mini Zero 28, TrimUI Brick and TrimUI Smart Pro (curr. $90.99 on Amazon). According to the spec sheet linked on MagicX's website, the Zero 40 also features 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a 4,300 mAh battery and up to 512 GB of storage via a MicroSD card.
MagicX states the Zero 40 should be available in 'mid-April' for approximately $75. So far, the company has shown two colour variants, one of which can be seen in the video above. Please see MagicX's website for more details.
