The MagicX Touch Zero 40 is a new gaming handheld with a very unique design and is particularly suitable for emulating Nintendo DS games.

We've reported on a lot of gaming handhelds this year, not only the up-and-coming genre of powerful systems capable of displaying triple-A games such as the Asus ROG Ally X, but also significantly cheaper and less powerful systems, such as those from Anbernic, which are primarily suitable for emulating various retro platforms up to the PlayStation One era. Some systems are basically emulatable in terms of performance, but the display or operation can be problematic, which is particularly true in regard to the various Nintendo DS handhelds, which have two screens.

The MagicX Touch Zero 40, which was recently showcased in a video, may be an ideal platform for emulating the Nintendo 2DS. Like the Nintendo 2DS, the MagicX Touch Zero 40 has a single screen, but it is very long. This allows the two screens of the Nintendo DS to be viewed equally and without issue. The video displays various Nintendo DS titles, which run at appropriate speeds.

The handheld appears to be equipped with the input devices required by the Nintendo DS, but not only these. An analog stick can be seen below the directional pad, and there four action buttons, shoulder buttons and buttons for the menus. Information on price or availability is still pending but the price is unlikely to be very high.
