Early details about a new Helegaly gaming handheld have emerged online. Sporting a design that leans heavily into the recent Powkiddy X35H, the device is said to get close to the Anbernic RG405V and RG405M in terms of performance.

Retro Handhelds has received word that a new Helegaly-branded gaming handheld is on the way. To recap, the website detailed the K560 last September with the same chipset that now underpins the Ayaneo Pocket Micro (curr. $246.95 on Amazon). The Helegaly K560 remains vapourware for the time being, though.

Seemingly, Helegaly may have ditched the K560 for a smaller gaming handheld. As the Retro Handhelds team notes, the unnamed Helegaly device looks an awful lit like the X35H that Powkiddy released last month. To that end, Helegaly's latest gaming handheld has a pair of joysticks sat below a d-pad and ABXY buttons.

Reportedly, Helegaly has equipped the device with an Allwinner A527 chipset, which is already available inside the Radxa Cubie A5E single-board computer. Based on synthetic benchmarks, the Allwinner A527 would put Helegaly's gaming handheld close to the Unisoc T618, which Anbernic offers in a few devices like the RG405V and RG405M. However, it remains to be seen whether the device shown will actually receive a release at this stage.
