Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in China later today, among other devices. Based on current expectations, Xiaomi will start offering its next Ultra flagship early next week outside its home market. Reportedly, the company has another of its other recent flagships up its sleeve too, which remains without a global release since its initial debut four months ago.
The device in question is the Xiaomi 15, which will line up as an alternative to Samsung's Galaxy S25 (curr. $799.99 on Amazon) in the world of compact flagships. Although Xioami has not shared any details about the global version of the Xiaomi 15 yet, leaker Arsène Lupin has offered a few insights in one of their latest leaks.
On the face of it, the global version of the Xiaomi 15 looks identical to the version currently sold in China. However, a few key differences exist. For example, Xiaomi will sell the Xiaomi 15 globally in fewer colours than are available in China. Based on previous releases, some markets may not even receive the three options shown below, though.
These reduced colour options will be joined by a different battery, too. For context, Xiaomi sells the Xiaomi 14 with a 4,610 mAh battery, regardless of which country in which it is purchased. By contrast, Lupin's leaked spec sheet appears to confirm the inclusion of a 5,240 mAh battery in its global successor rather than the 5,400 mAh capacity offered in China. In other words, the Xiaomi 15 will likely deliver slightly worse battery life globally than it does in China.
