Epic Games will be replacing its free game giveaway with a new title later today. Please note that this only affects its free PC game program, through which the storefront has been providing Garden Story and World War Z Aftermath for free since last Thursday. By contrast, Star Wars KOTOR and KOTOR II: The Sith Lords will be available to download for free on Android and iOS until March 20.
This week, Epic Games has decided to give away Mages of Mystralia, which Borealys Games has also launched on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch (curr. $299 on Amazon). Please note that Epic Games' latest giveaway only applies to the game's Windows release, which carries the following system requirements:
Minimum | Recommended | |
---|---|---|
OS | Windows 7 64-bit | Windows 7 64-bit |
CPU | Intel Core i5 2300 or equivalent | Intel Core i7 4790 or equivalent |
RAM | 4 GB | 8 GB |
Storage | 8 GB | 8 GB |
GPU | Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti or equivalent | GeForce GTX 760 or equivalent |
For reference, Mages of Mystralia is an action-adventure game with a deep spell-crafting system instead of conventional weapons. Borealys Games has also integrated a series of puzzles, which reviewers have described as more varied than the game's enemy types. As it stands, the game averages 74/100 on Metacritic and OpenCritic, although just 67% of critics would recommend the game. Epic Games will begin discounting Mages of Mystralia from 16:00 UTC today until 15:59 UTC on March 6.
