Warner Bros. Games is still reeling from a $300 million loss in 2024. These struggles culminated in the cancellation of MultiVersus and a future Wonder Woman project. However, the publisher is hoping TT Games can stabilize its finances. The UK developer is responsible for successful Lego titles based on franchises like Star Wars and Harry Potter. Appearing on the Kinda Funny Games podcast, journalist Jason Schreier confirmed that the next Lego game could arrive in 2026 or sooner.
Schreier, who has extensively covered the WB Games saga, didn’t provide many specifics. However, when recently discussing the state of the publisher, Bloomberg mentioned that a new Lego game was still in the works. That has led fans to speculate about what famous brick-built characters would appear in the title.
Since many popular movie series inspire Lego games, players have a decent chance to make a correct guess. One of the most frequent requests is for the caped crusader to return to the Lego universe. The most recent Batman Lego game was the 2018 action-adventure platformer Lego DC Super-Villains. Even if the title embraces a different format, fans think it’s the right time for TT Games to revisit Gotham.
Job listings have also spoiled WB Games' plans to keep the next Lego game a secret. In September 2024, gamers discovered an advertisement for a Senior Game Programmer. The applicant was tasked to work on a “major IP-based Lego game.” Another Harry Potter title is possible, but the Lego Harry Potter Collection was recently remastered for current consoles.
Yet another TT Games job board post asked for a designer of Lego vehicles. The ad specifically refers to the Lego Speed Champions toy line. That might predict a new racing title, though the Visual Concepts developed Lego 2K Drive debuted in 2023.
Rocksteady is also reportedly set to revive the Batman: Arkham series for WB Games. Still, the new single-player game will likely not appear until after 2026.
