A sequel to Batman: Arkham Shadow would be in preparation, according to an actor of the game. But be careful, because not everyone will be able to play it when it comes out.

It is an announcement that could delight fans of the Batman franchise around the world. Indeed, Mark Rolston, known for voicing Norman Osborn in Marvel's Spider-Man and Jim Gordon in Batman: Arkham Shadow, revealed in an interview for Culture Combine at Fan Expo Chicago 2025 that he is currently working on a new game from the Arkham series.

And if this announcement seems to delight many fans, it should be noted that this new title will be the direct sequel to Batman: Arkham Shadow. As a result, it will only be available in virtual reality, which may disappoint some people.

But if we refer to the previous opus, it was a huge success when it was released in 2024, as can be seen on Metacritic, where it scored 85. It even won the award for Best AR/VR Game at the Games Awards the same year. Thus, it is possible that this next title will be just as successful, even if this announcement disappoints many players.

In the meantime, it's important to remember that other games based on the Batman franchise will be released in the near future. This is the case with LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, which was unveiled at Gamescom 2025 and will be released in 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. And if you want to rediscover Batman: Arkham Knight with an HD texture pack, a mod is available for free on Nexus Mods.
