Xbox Game Pass gets 6 new games for September including Hollow Knight: Silksong as day-one release

Microsoft has confirmed the next wave of Xbox Game Pass titles for September 2025, highlighted by the highly anticipated indie sequel Hollow Knight: Silksong, which will be a day-one release on both Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

The current lineup, as detailed in an Xbox Blog post, consists of six games for the first half of the month, including I Am Your Beast, which is a fast-paced shooter that has been released on all Game Pass tiers. Following its release is the action-platformer Nine Sols, also available on Game Pass Standard.

On September 4, gamers will finally get to play Hollow Knight Silksong, alongside Cataclismo, which is a strategy builder. Family-friendly games like Paw Patrol World will launch on September 10 for younger gamers on all Game Pass subscription tiers.

Rounding out the lineup is RoadCraft, a multiplayer crafting and survival exploration game, which will debut on September 16, where players will build and maintain roads in a post-apocalyptic world.

Aside from these new arrivals, Microsoft has reminded Game Pass subscribers about upcoming content for existing games, notably Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s The Order of the Giants DLC, which also arrives on September 4. While the base game is available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, users are required to separately purchase The Order of the Giants DLC.

Game Pass Ultimate members will also enjoy an Unlock Bundle for classic Skate 3 as of now, offering $21 worth of DLC packs for the Xbox 360 game ahead of the Skate’s launch. 

Skate’s fourth installment, known as just “Skate,” will arrive in Early Access as a free-to-play title on September 16, allowing players to explore, skate, and create new skate lines in the open world of San Vansterdam, which features four distinct neighborhoods. Full-Circle will roll out patches amid player feedback and continue pushing seasonal content updates until the game’s potential 2026 full release.

As is the norm, three titles will be leaving Game Pass to make room for the fresh lineup of titles. On September 15, All You Need, the turn-based strategy game Wargroove 2, and We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie will depart from the subscription service.
