Cyberpunk 2077: Surprise teased for gamers, coming September 4

Despite a catastrophic launch in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 has met with enormous success thanks to numerous updates and corrections. And continuing in this vein, a surprise seems to be in store for players on September 4, 2025.

A mysterious message was posted on X by the @CyberpunkGame account. It looks like an official statement from the president of the New United States of America, Rosalind Myers. Going into detail, it talks about the threat to national cybersecurity and, to face this danger, the N.U.S.A. is looking for netrunners to join forces in order to defend themselves.

But although this message seems alarmist, there is no other information on the subject, and the mystery remains unsolved. Thus, many speculations are made in the comments of this post, highlighting a potential second DLC for Cyberpunk 2077.

Others believe it is an announcement for the second season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, while several people are already imagining news about the next game in the franchise, called Project Orion.

Another theory is also emerging from the comments, concerning job offers in the field of cybersecurity. It must be said that it seems convincing, especially with the message at the end of this press release specifying the following: 

"Take our recruitment test. Prove yourself."

However, if we follow this hypothesis, several details do not match, because there are no links redirecting to these job offers, and the date of September 4 is later than that of the publication of this post. Therefore, it will be necessary to wait until that date to finally uncover the mystery behind this enigmatic announcement from CD Projekt RED.
