Back in July, CD Projekt Red released a major update to Cyberpunk 2077 adding new features, missions, vehicles, and more. That was supposed to be the last big update for the game that released in 2020 and while that still seems to be the case, the developers are dedicated to fixing issues and further improving the player experience. The latest update brings more of that, with changes to the new AutoDrive feature, improvements to photo mode, and more.
AutoDrive was introduced in update 2.3 and it allowed players to enjoy the views of Night City without having to drive to their destination of choice, i.e. the car would drive itself. However, it wasn’t always the smoothest ride as the cars would indefinitely stop behind other stationary vehicles rather than overtaking. Turns were not smooth with multiple unnecessary stops. Update 2.31 addresses these issues and brings overtaking capabilities, faster traveling speeds, and a smoother ride overall.
The update also states that when driving to a selected point, the car will not stop at traffic lights. But, in Free Roam, it will “follow traffic rules and navigate the city more reliably.”
For photo mode improvements, new poses that were introduced in update 2.3 work with any gender now. NPC collisions have been disabled allowing for better positioning. Some quest related issues have been fixed as well. For PC and Mac users, optimizations to Ray-Traced Reflections have been made.
It is known that CD Projekt Red is working on the sequel for Cyberpunk 2077 and it was recently reported that Keanu Reeves would love to reprise his role as Johnny Silverhand. The game has been in development for over two years now and it went into pre-production earlier this year. It’s still going to be a few years before it releases.
