Although Cyberpunk 2077 mods have tried to implement gambling, gamers still yearn for a functional casino. Following a recent patch, players spotted new billboards advertising high-stakes entertainment. Fans are now speculating whether the North Oak Casino & Country Club in Night City could fully reopen in the future.
Spotted by Kala Elizabeth on social media, the curious advertisements plaster parts of Night City and the Dogtown combat zone. The billboards feature playing cards and poker chips, claiming that customers can win big. After consulting with other players, most agreed that the artwork arrived with the Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.3.
Since its 2020 release, CD Projekt Red has strived to make more of the game's world interactive. The developer also re-added features anticipated in the initial release, like the Night City Metro. However, the also shelved North Oak Casino & Country Club remains inaccessible. Currently, the resort is visible from afar, but it does not provide the thrill of virtual gambling.
As it turns out, the billboards may be advertising another casino. Kala Elizabeth later revealed how gamers examined the game's files, which contain the images in question. The files refer to a Pacifica Casino, which does not yet exist in the game. Nevertheless, some players expect future patches to introduce working slot machines or poker tables.
For now, there is plenty for fans to experiment with following the Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.3. Players can more effortlessly navigate maps with self-driving vehicles. PC gamers may also benefit from support for AMD FSR 3.1 frame generation and enhanced colors with HDR10+. Meanwhile, some macOS users can explore the open-world action-RPG for the first time.
