CD Projekt Red has announced the Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.1 will arrive on December 5 across all platforms. It brings forth a few gameplay changes and adds some minor tweaks, such as new romance options.

Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.0 was the largest in the game's history, completely overhauling many core gameplay mechanics. However, CD Projekt Red still has a few surprises up its sleeve. Cyberpunk 2077 will receive yet another update in the way of Patch 2.1. It isn't as beefy as its predecessor, but it brings forth some exciting changes nonetheless.

For starters, Night City will finally get a fully functional Metro System. It was shown off in early Cyberpunk 2077 trailers and even Phantom Liberty but never made it to the final release despite the metro stations being available as fast travel points. V can now experience a metro ride in its entirety, but only after completing the Konpeki Plaza.

Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.1 also lets you carry your music with you via a portable radio, which was previously accessible only via vehicles. It even carries over to combat, except in certain quest-related situations or when your wanted level is high.

CD Projekt Red has also improved boss fights with Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.1. One of the game's most iconic battles pits V against Adam Smasher. Ingenious players have found multiple ways to cheese it, but it won't be as easy now. One of the devs was clearly peeved by a meme that pointed out how weak Adam Smasher was in the game and decided to buff him a little.

Other Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.1 updates include five new motorcycles, a new car and additional options for bike combat. Accessibility options have now been consolidated together. Actions against in-game factions now have city-wide consequences, meaning if you mess with the Animals in one area, they'll hunt you down in another. PC players also get full DualSense (US$73 on Amazon) functionality, which is massive.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.1 update will be available on December 5 on PC, Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5. Last-gen consoles, unfortunately, have been left out. It may very well be the last major update the game receives, but that isn't necessarily bad, as it has been supported for three years since its rocky launch.
