After announcing it last year, one wouldn't be wrong to assume CD Projekt Red forgot about Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty DLC. Then again, it is the company's most ambitious story-driven DLC so far, and the last thing the company wants is yet another shaky launch. That said, fans may have to wait a while before learning more about the DLC.
CD Projekt Red has announced it will talk more about Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty in June. Given how long it has been sitting on the announcement, we'll likely get some gameplay footage, release date and price. The delay could also have been caused by the DLC's plot getting revealed accidentally via a software update.
It'll be interesting to see when Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty hits shelves. Timing is of the essence here, as a late launch will cause it to be overshadowed by heavy hitters such as Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Starfield, both of which have September launch dates. A mid-June to July launch could also be problematic because that's when Diablo IV's player count will be at its peak.
