AYA NEO AIR Plus launches as new affordable gaming handheld with AMD and Intel processor options
AYA NEO has finally started selling the AIR Plus, nearly a year after announcing details about the gaming handheld series. Since then, the company has altered which processors would be available with the AIR Plus and increased pricing across the board. Earlier today, AYA NEO explained the decision-making behind increased Indiegogo prices, citing increased manufacturing costs. However, it also confirmed that it would offer a limited number Core i3-1215U and AMD Ryzen 3 7320U models with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage for approximately US$270, matching its original pricing.
Specifically, AYA NEO elected to sell just 100 units each of these models, which sold out quickly before briefly becoming available again. As such, the AIR Plus now starts at US$499 on Indiegogo with the Ryzen 3 7320U, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. For reference, full AIR Plus pricing is as follows:

According to AYA NEO, there is no difference between AIR Plus and AIR Plus Advance units, other than the latter's inclusion of an additional FPC cable. Instead, 'Advance' refers to a device's estimated shipment date, with AYA NEO hoping to ship Advance units in April, compared to May for regular Early Bird orders. Additionally, it is worth noting that all non-Ryzen 7 6800U units will not ship until June.
Moreover, all models come with a 6-inch and IPS 1080p display, a 46.2 Wh battery and a built-in fingerprint scanner. AYA NEO adds that the AIR Plus weighs 525 g too, putting in between the weights of the Nintendo Switch and the Steam Deck. Furthermore, the AIR Plus has hall-effect joysticks and stereo speakers.
