Bethesda's Starfield has been delayed far too many times, with its latest launch date pegged at H1, 2023. The developer has finally revealed when exactly the game will be playable; however, it is beyond the initially projected window. Gamers will be able to dive into Starfield's massive open world on September 6.
Bethesda said earlier that Starfield wouldn't be a part of the recent Developer_Direct event because it deserved an entire event for itself. Dubbed Starfield Direct, the showcase will dive deep into Starfield's gameplay, mechanics and RPG elements. It is scheduled for June 11 and will be live-streamed across all major platforms.
A quick glance at the official Starfield handle's announcement Tweet shows the game being played in the background, indicating it is in the final stages of development. It is identical to last year's gameplay reveal, suggesting Bethesda is likely taking the extra time to polish Starfield. It isn't necessarily bad, given the state where some of their recent AAA titles launched.
